New inserts for Indiana Drones will be here Monday! We will ship to Kudos and the artists on Tuesday, and then ship to Kickstarter pledgers and those who ordered via EAR/Rational. Thank you all for your patience!
The Indiana Drones CDs have arrived from the pressing plant, but I’m not happy with the way the booklet was folded. The problem has to do with the fact that a 6-panel insert has to be rotated to fit on a small printing press, and the rotation means that the folds are done against the grain, resulting in the tearing that you see in the first photo. The second photo is a little better explanation of how this happens on a small printing press (but the color keeps end up being wrong on it, even though it’s correct in the image I upload).
The pressing plant has agreed to split the cost of printing the booklets on a larger printing press, which will not require them to be rotated.
Once those new booklets are received, I will hand insert them, and seal the CD with a resealable Japanese CD sleeve to protect it. You will actually receive BOTH booklets, the original one and the re-printed one.
Final track listing (I hope!) for Disc 2 of “Die Welt ist Klang”. Track 11 was submitted by Simon Ellis (Houdini), and while it technically makes the CD over 80 minutes, it’ll be under 80 once we edit out the trailing silence on a couple of tracks.
